A lawsuit filed on behalf of Emaza Gibson, 25, claims she was subjected to threats of violence and unwanted sexual harassment by the singer.
It's alleged Mr Derulo was working with Ms Gibson on her first album under his label in 2021 when he told her she would have to participate in "sex rituals" to be successful in the music industry.
"This explicit demand for sex-in-exchange-for-success was reinforced through [Mr Derulo's] subsequent behaviour," the lawsuit claimed.
Ms Gibson said she declined repeated invitations to drinks and dinner with Mr Derulo and the relationship soured after an argument about a work meeting where Mr Derulo "lost control" and screamed at her.
In 2022, Ms Gibson and her mother arrived late to a recording session with Mr Derulo and alleges he "charged" at her and yelled in her face.
A few months after she complained to Mr Derulo's manager she was told her contract would be terminated.
The lawsuit claims Ms Gibson was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and suffered breakdowns due to "hideous and illegal treatment".

Mr Derulo has been on Australian television screens as a judge on the recent season of The Voice.
He broke his silence in a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, before the finale aired on October 8 and said he stood against all forms of harassment and was supportive of people following their dreams.
"I've always strived to live my life in a positively impactful way, and that's why I sit here before you deeply offended by these defamatory claims," he said.
The complaint was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court against Mr Derulo, his manager Frank Harris, Atlantic Recording Corporation, Future History Inc, and RCA Records.
Ms Gibson is seeking damages including unpaid wages and loss of earnings, as well as medical expenses and emotional distress.
